My family immigrated to Canada when I was 9. I grew up in Montreal and had a typical immigrant upbringing. My parents ran a convenience store (dépanneur) for over 20 years!
My education has been “Asian fail” (No MD, JD, or any “D” designations) although I did survive McGill BEng and MEng.
Soon after graduating COVID-19 happened. I lived like a hermit, and somehow found my identity (I think) - became very health conscious, learned to design and build websites (decently well), and started singing on YouTube (Cheer Caster).
During my master's program, I reached my heaviest weight of 89 kg, classifying me as obese. Determined to make a change, I began counting calories and embarked on a journey of self-improvement.
I'm into web design and coding as a side gig, mainly building websites for professors and research labs. I see custom design and custom code as an art form, allowing me to create unique and visually appealing websites.
